The Vietnam Economist Annual Meeting (VEAM) is an annual meeting organized for economists and social researchers around the world to present their scholarly studies and works. This year, Foreign Trade University Hanoi, the Development and Policies Research Center (DEPOCEN), the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) will host the Eleventh Vietnam Economist Annual Meeting (VEAM 2018) on 11-12 June 2018.
The four keynote speakers for VEAM 2018 are:
1. Masayuki Okawa (Ritsumeikan University College of Economics)
2. Chung Tran (Australian National University)
3. Nguyen Viet Cuong (Institute of Public Policy and Management and Mekong Development Research Institute, Vietnam)
4. Michel Simioni (Research Director of the French National Institute of Agriculture)

The conference is now open to registration and calling for papers. Submission and registration are free for presenters of accepted papers. All papers must be submitted before 15 April 2018 and in English. Financial support for accommodations is available on a limited and first come first served basis. Priority is given to PhD students and early career researchers.
All submitted papers for VEAM will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee. The qualified papers will be uploaded on:
- the VEAM’s website (veam.org) and
- the DEPOCEN Working Paper Series (http://depocenwp.org)
Results of the review process will be announced after the deadline day. Authors whose papers are selected will be invited to present their work at the conference. All presentations are in English.
