Dr. Phu Nguyen-Van holds a Ph.D. in economics in 2003 and obtains his Accreditation to supervise research (HDR) in 2013. He is currently research professor (Directeur de Recherche) of the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) and member of ECONOMIX, a joint research unit of the CNRS and University of Paris Nanterre (France). Previously, he was a CNRS researcher at Cergy Paris University (2004-2008) and at University of Strasbourg (2009-2020). He is also a member of the Labex program IDGM+ (Clermont-Ferrand, France) and the Environment for Development Initiative global network (EfD Vietnam). He has published in various interdisciplinary journals and well-known journals in economics.
Dr Phu was awarded the Bronze Medal in 2015 by the CNRS for the best young researcher in France.
His main research interests are applied econometrics and environmental economics.
